“Massive” is the only word to describe this 30,000-square-foot home. Designed within the beautiful craftsmanship is sophisticated lighting and security systems, multiple audio/video zones and a dedicated home theater, including one in the family’s private bowling alley. Audio One Sound & Video provided seamless integration of the two-lane bowling alley’s sound and lighting that also has 12 speakers and two subwoofers, a highend front projector and a screen in a mural depicting a drive-in movie theater.

A Crestron control system processor and a network poll accelerator are centrally located and control the complex systems. Crestron touchpanels and waterproof remotes around the pool provide functions such as fountains, water features and lighting. Three satellite TV systems, HD Cable TV and HD off-air system provide non-stop viewing of programs in just about any room in the house.

Serious movie watching takes place in the dedicated theater equipped with a Runco projector and Stewart screen and 7.1 surround sound. A centrally located movie server with five terabytes of movies keep the family “home” most of the time, and is just one example of how technology can tame the biggest of beasts.

Steven Tyler flying high with SampleTank®

Celebrity engineer, producer and studio designer David Frangioni was in Orlando when he got the call from Aerosmith's legendary frontman Steven Tyler. Steven had a powerbook and a small keyboard controller, he wanted to be able to compose music on his airplane. Steven wanted the sound set of a Korg Triton™ workstation within his powerbook for a wide range of sound content. David Frangioni knew that Steven Tyler's expectations would be high, so he researched the subject intently. He put a call in to Gil Gowan from Digidesign and asked his opinion. After some careful brainstorming he was pointed towards SampleTank® 2. Shortly thereafter Frangioni sent a fresh copy of IK Multimedia's award-winning Virtual Sound Workstation to Paul Santo (Aerosmith's engineer inBoston). Steven has been Flying high…very well satisfied with his new setup. The artist states that the ease of use and sound quality, won him over.

David Frangioni is a recipient of over 65 Gold and Platinum albums as technical consultant, engineer, and/or programmer. He is also the Founder and President of Audio One.

Fans of Audio One’s high-end home tech systems include rock stars

Story by Joseph A. Mann Jr.

Audio One, based in Dania Beach and Miami, is a company that designs and builds sophisticated home and office automation networks, audio-visual (A/V) systems that can include home IMAX theaters and state-of-the art recording studios.

Their clients are wealthy — and include rock stars — and their work costs from a minimum of $50,000 to several million.

Audio One was founded by David Frangioni, who grew up in Boston with a passion for rock music and technology, moving from drumming gigs when he was 12 to developing and applying new sound technology as a recording engineer, audio technologist and consultant who designed and installed professional recording studios.

“At 16, I caught the technology bug and realized what new technology could do for drums and other music,” said Frangioni, who is CEO of the company. “I was a ferocious learner and was self-taught in technology.” He studied at the New England Conservatory of Music and Northeastern University in Boston.

Frangioni was the rock-star sound engineer behind many rock stars. He worked for about 15 years as chief in-house engineer for the iconic rock group Aerosmith and collaborated with other music luminaries including Shakira, Sting, Elton John, Styx, Ringo Starr and Ozzy Osbourne.

Jennifer Yosowitz- COO of Audio One - Spotlight on Smart Home Technology in Miami

As featured in Simply The Best Magazine on May 11th, 2017

Link to original Story

Jennifer Yosowitz, co-owner of Audio One, Inc., of Dania Beach, Florida, is one of the few (if any) women at the top of the smart home automation and control industry — a market that is expected to reach $12.81 billion globally by 2020. As a college student, she got in on the ground oor of the skyrocketing era of “smart” technology through the music industry in Boston, and then in Nashville and Miami. As both COO and CFO of Audio One, Inc., a leader in the home automation and A/V industry in South Florida, Yosowitz has helped guide the company’s expansion from a recording and pro-audio focus to the luxury residential technology and commercial control segment that now dominates the market.

“My passion was always music. I went from Pre-Med in college to opening an office for designing and building professional recording studios in Nashville on Music Row in 2000,” says Yosowitz. “After expanding Audio One to South Florida we became the premier recording studio installation company. Along with my business partner and company founder David Frangioni from Boston, renowned for mixing the very first surround sound record in DTS 5.1, Audio One built studios for Ricky Martin, Olivia Newton-John, Steven Tyler, the Bee Gees, Ringo Starr, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, and hundreds of other celebrities.”

Eventually, Audio One’s elite clientele began asking for professional level music equipment in their homes — high end speakers, processors, and amplifiers, as well as over the top luxury home theaters. “Because we were already embedded in the technology it was a natural progression for Audio One to expand into what is now home technology,” notes Yosowitz. “When you have a technician who knows how to put a studio together with 1,000 connections, it’s not a big leap to understand the schematics of wiring and integrating a house.”

Audio One Selected to Design Automation for Mandarin Oriental

The Via Mizner is a collection of shopping, hotel, residences, and recreation--including The Mandarin Oriental--with one unifying feature: luxury. The luxury life depends upon sleek design, intuitive spaces, and sophisticated simplicity. That’s why the exclusive Boca Raton property chose to include MDU automation in their design models and sales center. When looking for an integrator to help them achieve the highest quality technology, installation, and engineering, Via Mizner could have selected any integrator in Florida. We are honored to say that they chose Audio One. For a look inside this project, continue reading.

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental

Across the world, there were only nine locations selected by Mandarin Oriental to host their residences. In Boca Raton, there will be 85 private homes included under the marque. The exclusivity of the address is only matched by the attention to detail in their design. From the choice of materials to the placement of windows, every aspect of your day has been carefully planned out by the designers of these homes. Plus, you have full access the amenities of the Oriental Mandarin hotel including the golf course, holistic spa, athletic club and five-star dining.

The Sales Center

While we all wait for construction to be complete, there is an opportunity for a sneak peek. A soon to open sales center is providing potential residence with the opportunity to tour an 8,100-square-foot sales model. When you enter the space, you are greeted by a doorman, butler, kitchen, bathroom, and bar.

The intention of the gallery is to provide guests with an opportunity to experience what it is like inside of an actual residence--perhaps why the whole thing rang up a 3.5-million-dollar bill. That means hand cut mosaic inlays from Italy along with fine marble countertops.

MDU Automation

There, potential residences will also be able to experience the luxury of automation from Audio One. In MDU, or multi-dwelling unit, automation, intelligent technologies are provided to each individual residence with full centralized control of the building provided to management. What are these technologies?
